(Old) Simple Guy from Cyberpunk Project

These are concepts, designs, and experiments made for a project called "Simple Guy's Cyberpunk Adventure". I never gave it a proper name. Can you tell? The idea was to play as a character who accidentally gets the wires crossed in their "Embodied Vacation" and winds up in the body of a rookie Spaceport Customs Officer who is having the worst night of their career. I did a lot of work for this project but ultimately failed to wrap my head around color, tiling, and other issues which wound up frustrating me enough to put pixel art aside altogether for several years.

An ID card concept for the project. Broke some rules on pixel scaling here with that bit in the top right corner.

The protagonist of this project never got a name. I always think of him as "Simple Guy".

A test animation/loading screen for transitions between areas. I really like this piece, even now. I think it's some of the best work I did back then.
